Synopsis:

Abondoned by her husband, Sumitra Verma is saddled with two young sons, and must live on a day to day basis. Years later, the family is still struggling. Her elder son, Vijay is a porter in the Bombay docks, her younger son, Ravi is unemployed and in love wit hthe Police Commissioner's only daughter. With the Commissioner's assistance, Ravi soon becomes a police officer. To his horror he discovers that his brother Vijay is involved in criminal activities and has accumulated walth by illegal means. The two brothers are now seperated by their duties as one protects the law while the other breaks it.
